Model Elakshi Gupta, who was seen in ALTBalaji web series Cold Lassi and Chicken Masala, is all set to make her Bollywood debut.
The actress will be seen in Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji. She will play the role of Shivaji Maharaj’s wife Soyarabai Mohite.
Elakshi confirmed the news and said, “I was happy when I got to know about this. I was informed that there aren’t many dialogues, but my presence as Shivaji’s wife would be there throughout. I was absolutely fine with this because the character of Shivaji’s wife itself is important. I always wanted to be part of periodic movies and wished to play the role of a strong woman. The most amazing part was the grand sets of the shoot and the realistic feel of that era they gave. Everyone around was in the Maratha look in the royal attire. I felt like I am living in that moment of the Maratha kingdom.”
