Emraan Hashmi has been in the headlines lately, and yet again he has grabbed attention —but not for a pleasing reason: the actor has tested positive for H1N1, commonly known as Swine Flu, amid his work-related travel to Ranchi.
While the actor has been enjoying the glory of his recently released Awarapan 2 success, Emraan is now facing a health setback. Due to unexpected health issues, the actor had to postpone a much-anticipated Bengaluru show, which was supposed to mark his return to live performances after years.
On August 29, 2026, Emraan posted an update on his Instagram stories expressing regret over the cancellation of his scheduled live performance that same day in Bengaluru: “Hey Bangalore, I’m really unwell and unfortunately won’t be able to make it to the Bangalore show.”
But Emraan also shared some good news for fans, mentioning that the scheduled show has just been postponed and not canceled, and it will happen on September 12: “But picture khatam nahi hua, bas postpone hua hai! I’ll see you all at Sunburn Union on 12th September, Saturday. Your tickets will remain valid for the new date. Can’t wait to see you guys! @sunburnunionbengaluru @unynx.blr.”
Emraan Hashmi marked a stellar comeback with Awarapan 2, also starring Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi. The film, directed by Nitin Kakkar, continues to perform in theatres. The film has turned out to be a success, with net earnings of around 145.96 crore and has crossed 220.49 crore globally.
