After completing three weeks in theatres, Homebound maintains a steady pace at the box office. The film’s niche appeal and strong critical acclaim have helped it sustain beyond the usual two-week drop that most small-scale releases face.

By Day 20, Homebound had collected around ₹4.1 crore at the Indian box office (net). On Day 21, the film added an estimated ₹10–15 lakh more, bringing its total to approximately ₹4.20–₹4.25 crore (net). While these numbers may appear small compared to mainstream releases, they reflect stable momentum for a film of its scale and release strategy.

The movie’s limited release across roughly 200–225 screens means it never had the commercial firepower of a wide release. Yet, it has continued to draw select audiences in metros and cinephile circuits. Its themes — identity, class, and emotional displacement — resonate among viewers who value realism and subtle storytelling over spectacle.

However, the third week naturally saw footfall decline. With several big titles competing for screens, Homebound’s show count has dropped, and daily collections are now in the single-digit lakhs. Despite that, its ability to retain even a small share of audience interest after 21 days remains noteworthy.

Performance-wise, Homebound thrives on its emotional authenticity and performances. Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s restrained yet layered portrayals elevate the story, while Neeraj Ghaywan’s direction adds quiet power to each frame. The film’s technical finesse enhances its reflective tone, from its muted color palette to its background score.

Still, Homebound isn’t without its limitations. The pacing is slow, and the narrative demands patience. Its lack of mass appeal and promotional push has restricted its commercial rise. Yet, it is one of the few 2025 Hindi films that balance social commentary with emotional depth.

As it enters its fourth weekend, Homebound may inch towards a lifetime total of around ₹4.5 crore in India — a modest figure that aligns with its genre and release scale.
