Priyanka Chopra was in India recently for her upcoming, Citadel promotions. She also attended the inaugural ceremony of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, along with her husband Nick Jonas.
Podcast with Dax Shepard
It all started when PeeCee was invited for a podcast with Dax Shepard. In the podcast, Dax referred to RRR as a Bollywood film. However, Priyanka Chopra interrupted and corrected him saying, “That’s a Tamil movie by the way. It’s like big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those… it’s like our Avengers,” as quoted by News 18.
However, this didn’t go well with the netizens, and people started trolling Priyanka Chopra for RRR was initially made in Telugu.
Priyanka Chopra reacts to trolls
Reacting to the trolls, PeeCee, in an interview with DNA, has said, “People try to find a mistake in anything I do. I think people enjoy that a little bit. I was a lot more free-spirited, but now, I am a bit more cautious because I have my family to think about.” She further added that how people try to chain you down once you go higher in life, “The higher you go in life, the more people look for a reason for you to fall. But at the same time, I have so much love and support from my family, friends and fans. I prefer to focus on that.”
