The actor recently got candid during a conversation on the Curly Tales YouTube channel about his journey from Rajasthan to becoming one of television’s most loved stars.
Talking honestly about his early days, Rajeev Khandelwal shared that there were moments filled with self-doubt and uncertainty while trying to build a career in the entertainment industry. Despite his popularity and success, the actor admitted that the journey was not always smooth and came with emotional struggles.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the conversation was when Rajeev Khandelwal shared his love story with his wife, Manjiri Kamtikar. He revealed that when they first met, Manjiri had no idea who he was, something he jokingly said felt “a little insulting.” Rajeev Khandelwal recalled how he would often ask to meet her sister, and eventually, their meetings turned into a genuine connection that slowly grew stronger.
The actor shared that he wanted to ask Manjiri for her number but did not know how, as he had never asked anyone for their number before. Finally, he approached her sister, Mamta, who later helped him get in touch with Manjiri. Rajeev Khandelwal also revealed that he would wait for hours to see her and, at one point, even messaged Manjiri’s mother about their relationship before it became public, especially because of his fame.
Rajeev Khandelwal also admitted that over the years, he had crushes on fans too. He said admiration from fans sometimes felt emotional and genuine, making those moments special for him personally.
During the chat, the actor also spoke about writing love letters in his younger days. Rajeev Khandelwal revealed that he wrote many letters during and after college, but most of them were not for girlfriends. Instead, they were dedicated to silent crushes and feelings he never openly confessed. He also reflected on past heartbreaks and how those emotional experiences changed him as a person.
With his honest confessions and emotional memories, Rajeev Khandelwal showed a side of himself that fans rarely get to see — emotional, and deeply real beyond the screen.
