Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor is all set to fly high with her latest project, Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl.
Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar, the film was supposed to hit the screens on March 13, 2020. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the release was stopped. Now, the film will release on Netflix.
The film stars Janhvi in the titular role of air force pilot Gunjan Saxena and also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Viineet Kumar, Manav Vij and Ayesha Raza.
Gunjan Saxena made history when she flew into a combat zone during the Kargil War and evacuated injured soldiers from Kargil in 1999. For her courage, Gunjan was bestowed with the Shaurya Chakra.
Janhvi took to Instagram and shared a short video showcasing the journey of real-life Gunjan Saxena while she was narrating an introduction to her character in the film.
