Ever since Jr NTR shared the first poster of his upcoming film with Trivikram on Monday, June 29, fans have reacted in large numbers. However, following the release of the poster, while fans looked excited, a section of the internet seemed upset, reportedly due to misinformation regarding Lord Murugan.

Jr NTR shared the poster of the film with the caption, “The Son of Shiva.
The Pride of Parvathi. The Eternal Commander. And, once again with TRIVIKRAM,” and fans looked excited for the upcoming drama.

However, the reactions were not the same when producer Nagar Vamsi shared the post, and the reason turned out to be the reference to Lord Murugan being born in the North.

He wrote, “Born in the North.
Forged in the Heartland.
Worshipped in the South.
Now… A tale destined to belong to the universe.”

Vamsi, in his caption, mentioned Lord Murugan’s birth in the North, which has triggered Tamil fans who claimed that Lord Murugan was born in Tamil Nadu and is a Tamil god.

A user wrote, “Movie made to prove Murugan is not Tamil god but a North indian god who created Hindi to unite the people of hindustan 🫩. TRIVIKRAM Dhurandhar jr.”

The other said, “Those who cmts like historic being just stfu…..Murugan was born in Himalayas which is in NORTH and He came to South after the quarrel. End of debate. Fyi I am from TN.”

The third said, “Wrong story & Fake information from racist #Telugu groups over #Tamil #Murugan born in the south and All temples of him are available in #Tamilnadu but no identification,no temple & worshipping habits of himself in #North Lord Murugan is a Tamil warrior.Even #Tirupathi is ours.”

“Bro they referred that lord murugan was borned in Himalayas which was located in North. Lord Muruga was borned in saravana lake,” said the fourth.

The makers of the upcoming film haven’t responded to the debate or clarified anything.
