South Korean actor Hong Min-gi has grabbed attention in the headlines with shocking claims against the actor. Reportedly, the actor has been accused of serious dating violence and other alleged misconduct by a woman who claims to be his former girlfriend.
According to reports, shocking allegations surfaced on August 19, 2026, after an influencer identified as A in Korean media outlets shared details of a legal notice sent to the actor. The influencer, with more than 20,000 followers on her Instagram, said she hired a law firm as her legal representative on July 28 and formally notified the actor of her intention to take legal action regarding the alleged criminal conduct.
In the legal notice, the influencer accused Hong Min-gi of physical assault, threats and intimidation. The woman claimed that during one incident Hong Min-gi threw a Soju bottle into the street, broke it and subsequently threw other objects, leaving her afraid.
She claims that the Korean actor got angry with her for allegedly suspecting her of being in contact with a former boyfriend. As per her account, Hong Min-gi repeatedly called her and allegedly threatened to kill the influencer and her former boyfriend.
The unidentified woman claimed that the actor allegedly hit her, pushed her, grabbed her by the neck, and accessed her private KakaoTalk conversations without her permission. She also claimed to have photographs of the injuries she suffered during the assault.
In addition, the influencer woman has also accused Hong Min-gi of verbal abuse, gaslighting, and inappropriate behavior even after their relationship ended.
In the matter, Hong Min-gi’s agency, Fable Company, has officially denied these allegations after conducting an internal review: “We plan to take legal action under anti-stalking laws over the repeated contact and approaches made against the actor’s wishes.” And also added, “We also plan to take all necessary civil and criminal action, including for defamation, over acts of publicly disclosing and disseminating false information that damages the actor’s reputation.”
Following the agency’s denial, the influencer released additional statements claiming she was pressured into a coerced abortion and that the actor insulted his fanbase.
