Onam is a very special festival, especially for South Indians, and the diva Kalyani Priyadarshan, being one of them this year, couldn’t celebrate the auspicious day with her family. On August 27, 2026, Kalyani shared a series of photos of herself, revealing she is not with the family this Onam, so there will be no festive content, but delighted fans with a glimpse into her new project, Pralay.
In her caption, Kalyani revealed she is currently busy shooting for her upcoming big project, Pralay, opposite Ranveer Singh. She wrote, “Fully locked in to Pralay in Mumbai this Onam, so no Sadhya with the fam, no pretty white saree pics, no festive content. Here’s a dump of random things from the last couple of months instead. Hope you all had a truly happy Onam.”
Recently, the film went on the floor, and the actress expressed her excitement. And today she gave a glimpse into her life lately with Pralay shooting. She dropped photos from her photoshoot, chilling coffee moments, selfies from the vanity van, stunning saree pictures, on-set visuals, hopping for food, slaying in a saree, celebrating her birthday, sleeping, styling and reading scripts—the actress shared everything she has been doing in the past few days.
In contrast, Onam Sadhya is also spelled “Sadya”. It refers to a traditional vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf, especially during festivals like Onam and Vishu, as well as weddings and special occasions.
Produced by Ranveer Singh’s banner Maa Kasam Films, alongside True Story Films and Applause Entertainment, Pralay is directed by Jai Mehta and written by Vishal Kapoor and Jai Mehta. The film is expected to release in 2027.
