Kangana Ranaut who recently declared on X (Twitter) that she is “an artist arguably the greatest of all time in Hindi films”—and who would dare to dispute her claim?—seems to be facing a crisis of consecutive flops .

Her latest shero(female hero) vehicle Tejas opened to less than 2 crore rupees collections at the boxoffice on the day of release.

Earlier, another of her shero ventures Dhaakad had opened to an even lesser collection.

In fact,Kangana has not had a real success since Aanand L Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns in 2015. This was followed by I Love NY(with Sunny Deol), Rangoon, Simran, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi(which Kangana claims was a profitable venture although all other involved with the project claim otherwise), Judgementall(sic.) Hai Kya, Panga, Thlaivaii(the Jayalalitha bio-pic) and Dhaakad: all certified underperformers .

Last month she played the title role in theTamil non-starter Chandramukhi2 . Now less than a month later , her airborne patriotic saga Tejas has failed to take off.

No one denies her ability to hold the camera. But Kangana needs to rethink her career strategy. Perhaps working with directors who know how to extract the best out of her would help.Kangana needs to work with directors whom she listens to when they tell her what to do.
