In a recent interview with podcaster Siddharth Kannan, she shared raw truths about her past, from being trapped in marriage, single parenting, earning money, and more.

Trapped In A Fake Marriage

When asked about her marriage, Kangna revealed that she married in 2020 and that it was an arranged marriage. The actress revealed she became friends with him in six months, and despite being at the peak of her career, she married him.

Sharing how she ended up marrying the wrong person, Kangna says it may have been her Karma. She highlighted that, like all the girls, she wanted a secure man and a family, and initially he did all she wanted, but later she realized it was all a trap. The actress further revealed that after her first child was born, her husband started coming home only after days, and when he was jailed, she realized that respect should be her priority. Towards the end of 2022, she got to know about his cheating, his already being married, and fraud cases against him.

Fight As A Single Mother

Kangna also shared that she didn’t want to have a baby because of her back injury, because doctors warned her there is a 50- 50 chance she will survive or not, but her husband brainwashed her, and they had a baby. The actress then shares her take on being a single parent, saying she wants to inspire single parents and that ending one’s life is not the solution.

No Regrets On Bold Clothing

Addressing the criticism surrounding her bold choices, Kangna shared that she did whatever it took to earn, balance her life, and feed her child. The actress emphasized that she has done so much work, but she only gained recognition and fame for her bold clothing and appearances.

Kangna mentioned that she has no regrets about what she has worn, but one thing she pointed out is that talent has nothing to do with this industry.

When asked about Disha Patani getting more respect than her, even though she also wears bold attire, Kangna highlighted that Disha is valued and respected because she works with Karan Johar; Dharma Productions has signed her. So what matters is the groupism, favoritism, and the fact that this field has no value for the talented.
