A disheartening piece of news has surfaced: Kannada actor and producer Dileep Raj passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The actor was just 47 years old at the time of his demise, and he died after suffering from a massive heart attack.

As per the reports, Dileep suffered a sudden heart attack in the early hours of May 13, after which his family rushed him to the hospital immediately, but the doctors couldn’t save him.

Dileep gained major popularity after working with Puneeth Rajkumar in the 2007 film Milana. The late actor has played prominent roles in several films, such as U-Turn and Boyfriend.

The actor further became a household name with widespread recognition as the lead in the popular Zee Kannada serial Hitler Kalyana. Apart from acting, Dileep also produced TV shows under his banner DR Creations. Not just acting and producing, but he also worked actively in theatre and was a renowned dubbing artist.

Dileep was associated with theatre groups like Nataranga and Drishti, where he developed his acting skills. He has been part of several renowned shows like Janani, Ardha Satya, Rangoli, Kumkuma Bhagya, Mangalya, Malebillu, Preetigaagi, and Rathasapthami. And over the years, he has appeared in around 24 films.
