Khushi Kapoor needs no introduction. The actress marked her debut with the Netflix film ‘The Archies’, and her son marked her theatre debut with Loveyapa alongside Junaid Khan, Amir Khan’s son. Being the daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor and the sister of Janhvi Kapoor, the young actress undoubtedly had the responsibility to carry forward the legacy, and amid that, Khushi recently spoke about her journey in films, trolling, and the mixed reviews for her last film, Nadaaniyan.

In a recent interview with TOI, Khushi shared her journey in the film industry, confessing that she felt caught in an uncertain middle ground, but she tried to remind herself that growth happens during such transitional phases of life. She also highlighted that, acknowledging the process, she continued to work without getting overwhelmed, and also shared that emotional balance during such times requires deliberate efforts amid the constant criticism. Khushi credited her family and close friends as her support system to remind her of her true self and not as a public figure.

However, with her recent film Nadaaniyan alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan, the two stars face harsh criticism, memes, and reviews, while many praised the efforts. The actress shared that she considers criticism as part of the learning process. Also, the actress believes the negative reactions also show that the audience is engaging with their film and discussing it, which is a good part.

Khushi highlighted that she prefers not to ignore the feedback completely, but analyse it and learn from it, and continue to improve herself. But also sheds light on the fact that one should not let public opinion completely define oneself.

Khushi Kapoor is currently working on her upcoming project Mom 2, and this project is special to her as it is connected to her mother, Sridevi. It is produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Girish Kohli, while actress Karishma Tanna is also part of it.
