Shah Rukh Khan turns 60 today, and what could be a better day than this to ignite our hearts? The King title reveal is propelling ushers—and this time we do not see our usual DDLJ Raj, but someone with absolute grit and gore. At 60, you witness Shah Rukh Khan’s versatility as an actor once again, with his craft range towering over the ultimate “sigma” that we often discuss on social media.
The 1-minute 11-second video opens with bloodshed. Here, the King’s, aka SRK’s, eyes devour you, but this time with brutality. He plays the assassin here, who is on a killing spree with no mercy. The video reverberates with these lines: “Sau deshon mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam” — ‘KING’. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who earlier got everyone hooked with his work in Pathaan.
What is also giving the catch is SRK’s silver-tinted hair and his quirky accessories, and we get to see SRK in an avatar fans aren’t very used to. The film is all set to release in 2026. It already looks enticing, entertaining, and high-powered.
The film King is being produced by Gauri Khan under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
Shah Rukh Khan’s King boasts an outstanding ensemble cast featuring Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, Abhay Verma, Jackie Shroff, and Anil Kapoor.
The film also marks Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut and serves as Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s sixth on-screen collaboration. Reportedly, Deepika will portray Suhana’s mother in the film.
