Ever since legendary Lata Mangeshkar got hospitalized in ICU due to Covid-19, her fans and admirers from all over the globe started getting worried for the ‘Bharat Ratna’ recipient. From her industry colleagues to people who worship her for her singing abilities, everyone have been constantly praying for her speedy recovery.
National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has been extremely close to Lata Mangeshkar over the years. From Page 3 to Jail, the legendary singer has been the voice of many Madhur Bhandarkar projects in the past and hence, they share a wonderful relationship.
IWMBuzz exclusively got in touch with Madhur Bhandarkar to know more about Lata Mangeshkar’s health and he was quoted as saying,
“Lata di will need atleast 8-10 days more to recover. Just like many other fans, even I am constantly praying for her. Every Tuesday, I visit Siddhivinayak Temple and today, I specially went to Ganpati Bappa to pray for her good health and speedy recovery . There’s not a single day in my life that goes without listening to her songs and she has had tremendous influence in my life. I am praying and hoping that she will become fine soonest.”
It is to be noted that Madhur Bhandarkar had himself unfortunately contracted the Covid-19 virus despite being double vaccinated. When asked about his own health, he concluded by saying,
“I am completely fine touchwood. It’s been more than 10 days and I am completely normal now by God’s grace”.
