Reports suggest that the entire Varanasi team is currently on a one-month break from filming. Actress Priyanka Chopra had already shared updates about her travel, as she flew back to Los Angeles a day earlier.
Interestingly, when the film first went on floors, S. S. Rajamouli had shared a funny post on social media. He posted an image of himself “confiscating” Mahesh Babu’s passport to make sure the actor stayed focused on the shoot and avoided his frequent trips. Mahesh Babu had replied in a light-hearted way, saying, “A promise is a promise,” and assured that he would stay committed to the film.
The film is expected to finish shooting in the next three months, after which it will move into post-production. Varanasi is said to be a big adventure drama and is planned for release on April 7, 2027.
