Mai Vaapas Aaunga, the trailer of the much-awaited love saga, was released today, May 18, and it’s worth the wait. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the musical love saga is a film set against the backdrop of the India and Pakistan partition era. Produced by Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment, and Window Seat Films, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah in the key roles.
The trailer opens, introducing Naseeruddin Shah as an old man on his deathbed while his grandson, played by Diljit Dosanjh, tries to decode whatever Naseeruddin’s character tries to say. Taking viewers on a flashback, the film shows the beautiful love saga of characters played by Vedang Raina and Sharvari. It turns out the story revolves around the two lovebirds separated due to partition, but the love didn’t fade, and Vedang’s character still longs for his long-lost love even after more than 80 years. The story seems engaging and emotional with a beautiful musical touch.
Showcasing a Punjabi background, the film beautifully balances the theme where Vedang shines as a Punjabi boy, and Sharvari looks bubbly and beautiful. The love saga promises a full dose of entertainment, and we are eagerly waiting for the release.
