According to her social media updates, she traveled to the country as part of Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation’s Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage. On August 26, 2026, Parekh also revealed that the place she was supposed to visit on August 27 is now submerged by the flash flood.

Sharing her grief over the incident of flash flood in Tibet, Parekh shared that she is safe and urged people to pray for the affected people, “Life is uncertain, but what has happened is absolutely heartbreaking. We are constantly praying for the people affected by this tragedy. By God’s Grace we are safe in China and Isha Foundation is doing its best to get us back home as well as find those who are in the midst of the floods. Sharing a video of the place five days ago where the actress was felicitated, Parekh revealed the whole place now being submerged, “I was literally welcomed at this spot 5 days ago. So warmly! And now the whole place is submerged.”

Parekh also shared the viral video of the flash flood and revealed she was supposed to visit the flood-hit place today, August 27, 2026, Gyirong Port in Tibet, “This is what happened. We were sup to be here tomorrow morning.”

According to reports, 77 pilgrims from Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation have been missing since the devastating flood hit Nepal. The spiritual leader in his online post revealed the group was at the immigration office on its way back from Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet when the tragedy took place. Currently, visuals of the flash flood are going viral, showing a massive surge of water through Gyirong Port in Tibet, crashing into the immigration office before it crosses into Rasuwa, causing extensive destruction along the Bhote Kosi River.
