The iconic comic thriller film of 2006, Bhagam Bhag, starring Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, is to date one of the most loved films, beloved by many for its hilarious comic touch and the chemistry among the three main leads. Since the film was a big hit, the audience enjoys watching it to date for its chaotic narrative, high-stakes drama, on-point humour, and witty dialogues, which helped it earn cult status. And with such an impression, the demand for part 2 is obvious.

And the reports suggest that after nearly two decades, Bhagam Bhag is returning with part 2, but this time the sequel has come with creative and casting changes, among which the major change is Govinda’s character.

According to Variety India, actor Govinda isn’t part of the sequel, and well-known actor Manoj Bajpayee has joined the film and will play the character Govinda played, replacing him.

Talking about the sequel, it is said that the storyline will be new and will focus on mistaken identities, comedy of errors, chaos, and thrilling adventure to keep the vibe of the original film alive. The reports suggest that filming will begin next month, i.e., in March, in Mumbai.

Another major update is that a well-known director, Raja Shaandilya, will take on the directorial role for Bhagam Bhag 2, Priyadarshan’s comedy franchise.

In addition, actress Meenakshi Chaudhary, known for her appearances in Guntur Kaaram and others, will play the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar.
