Backed by positive audience response and steady footfalls across major cities, Michael is maintaining momentum despite competition from new releases.
According to Sacnilk, Michael collected ₹1.00 crore net on Day 20 across 1,435 shows in India. The latest figure marks a 4.8% drop from Day 19, when the film earned ₹1.05 crore net.
With the Day 20 collections, the film’s total India gross now stands at ₹65.91 crore, while the total India net collection has reached ₹55.05 crore. Earlier, on Day 19, the film had pushed its India net total to ₹54.05 crore after collecting ₹1.05 crore from 1,454 shows.
The film has continued to benefit from strong word of mouth, audience appreciation, and the worldwide popularity of Michael Jackson. The emotional storytelling, musical presentation, and nostalgia factor have connected well with viewers across age groups.
Michael also showed solid growth during its second weekend, with Day 17 collections reaching ₹3.25 crore net. Even after the expected weekday slowdown, the film has managed to hold steady numbers at the box office.
Trade analysts believe the consistent trend is a positive sign for a musical biographical drama, especially one driven by audience interest and long-term theatrical support rather than massive opening-day collections.
With steady occupancy and continued overseas performance, Michael still appears to have enough momentum left in its theatrical journey.
