The much-awaited crime-action Mirzapur: The Movie arrived in theatres yesterday, September 4, 2026, delighting fans and bringing back the ‘Bhaukaal’ of the hit Prime Video series to the big screen. Starring the OGs Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar and others, it kicked off its box office journey on a high note.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Gurmeet Singh-directed film collected a whopping 25.15 crore net in India across 11,135 shows with 42.7 percent occupancy. The series enjoys huge fandom, and that translates into a whopping box office response on Day 1 (First Friday).
The film saw a major response in the Hindi version, registering around 43 percent occupancy in theatres across 10,961 shows, collecting 25 crore net. The Telugu version saw 24 percent occupancy across 174 shows, with net earnings of 0.15 crore.

Directed by Gurmeet Singh, Mirzapur: The Movie marks his feature film directorial debut. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their production banner, Excel Entertainment, alongside co-creator and showrunner Puneet Krishna.
