Former don Arun Gawli’s daughter Yogita tied the knot with Marathi actor Akshay Waghmare in a simple ceremony in Central Mumbai’s Dagadi Chawl amid lockdown.
Earlier, they were scheduled to get married on March 29 in a grand manner at a five-star hotel in Lower Parel. However, it was postponed due to the ongoing lockdown.
According to reports in media, the Marathi actor and his family members secured necessary permission from relevant authorities and travelled to Mumbai for the wedding. In the evening on Thursday, the couple had their Haldi ceremony in the presence of their family members and they married yesterday.
While Akshay is known for acting in Marathi films and serials, Yogita is a lawyer by profession. She is the youngest of Gawli’s three children.
