Taapsee Pannu in the role of a producer seems determined to cross borderlines. Her first production Blurr casts her in the double role of a blind woman and her twin sister.

Now in her second sojourn as a producer with the ironically erotic title of Dhak Dhak, Taapsee plays just producer. On screen we will see four feisty women belonging to different generations taking off on a mo’bike trip all on their own.

The four protagonists are played by the stupendous Ratna Pathak Shah, the neglected Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh(fresh from her triumph in Shonali Bose’s Raat Rani in the Amazon anthology Modern Love) , and Sushant Singh Rajput’s last co-star Sanjana Sanghi.

The fact that Taapsee is not starring in Dhak Dhak is not as unusual as the fact the film has no male characters. It will be just the four women and their killer machines. This will be the first major Indian film with no male characters.
