Nora Fatehi, the renowned dancer and actor in Bollywood, has now broken her silence on one of the most difficult phases of her life, recalling how she faced public scrutiny after being linked to Sukesh Chandrasekhar in the 200-crore extortion and money-laundering case.
In the Dream with Dr Sheen podcast, sharing what she went through, Nora addressed the controversy, speaking about the negative impact of the incident on her mental health and professional life. The actress shared how that incident has left her deeply traumatized, and even today, if her agency books her for an event, she fears going. She still does it to earn money, but the fear of what might happen lingers.
Speaking up about her image and the result of the controversy, Nora shared that she felt scared about her reputation and that she even lost a lot of brands and work that had come to her after years of hard work, which suddenly disappeared.
Further, Nora refuted claims that she knew Sukesh Chandrasekhar personally, dated him, and accepted gifts from him. Denying the reports, the actress expressed fear for her future in her personal life, especially if a potential partner were to come across the false narrative online, which could affect his views of her.
Opening up about feeling alone, Nora accepted that she felt really alone, mentioning that she was confused about the origin of the allegations and narratives, saying that people were cruel to her at that time.
Nora then clarified that no one knows the truth about her personal life except one or two people, adding that whatever one reads in the news about her is fake.
