In an entertainment industry notorious for its spinelessness young Ishaan Khattar, half-brother to Shahid Kapoor, won many hearts on Saturday by showing up at the Pandeys’ residence to meet Ananya, with a bouquet of flowers.
Ishaan and Ananya are rumoured to be in a relationship ever since they did the film Kali Peeli together in 2020. Though the film was very badly received the film’s lead pair stuck up a special friendship.
How special, we now know, as the Pandeys stand isolated from the entire fraternity after daughter Ananya was grilled on two consecutive days by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
“Chunky is such a popular actor. But after the NCB interrogation he has suddenly become pariah. Hardly any of his friends from the industry have called him to inquire about Ananya’s wellbeing after the interrogation,” a source in the know tells me.
Given the unofficial boycott, the appearance of Ishaan Khattar at the Pandeys’ residence is not only reassuring but also gratifying.One recalls Sanjay Dutt’s then-girlfriend, a top actress now married with children, had refused to take his calls after he was accused of TADA activities.
