Kartik Aaryan will be seen in a very different role in Naagzilla as he takes on the role of an ichchhadhari naag. However, the makers have now reportedly finalised Preity Mukherji as the leading lady.
According to reports, Preity Mukhundhan has been actively working in South Indian cinema, appearing in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam projects. With Naagzilla, she is now set to step into a big Hindi film alongside Kartik Aaryan.
Preity Mukhundhan began her acting career in 2024 with the Telugu horror-comedy Om Bheem Bush, written and directed by Sree Harsha Konuganti. The film marked her entry into the industry and gave her a platform to showcase her talent.
She was also seen in the Telugu period drama Kannappa, a film that drew attention for its big names and special appearances. The project features guest roles for actors like Mohanlal, Prabhas, and Akshay Kumar, which made it one of the most talked-about films.
In 2025, Preity Mukhundhan made her Malayalam debut with the film Maine Pyar Kiya, where she starred opposite Hridhu Haroon.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan also has a busy lineup ahead. The actor will next be seen collaborating with director Kabir Khan again after their previous film Chandu Champion. In the upcoming project, Kartik Aaryan is expected to play a kickboxing coach.
After completing that film, Kartik Aaryan is also expected to start work on Captain India, directed by Shimit Amin. The story is inspired by Operation Rahat, a real-life rescue mission where Indian citizens were evacuated from a war-affected country.
Kartik Aaryan also has a musical romance with Anurag Basu in the pipeline. The film, which stars Sreeleela opposite him, is titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai and is expected to release later this year.
