Producer Mehmood Ali Recalls Harmesh Malhotra’s Death, Reveals His Wife’s Shocking Curse For Govinda

Mehmood Ali, the Indian producer, has been in the industry for years. In a recent podcast with Ajaz Khan for his YouTube channel ‘Unfiltered with Ajaz Khan’, he talked about the industry. Recalling past incidents, Mehmood talked about producer Harmesh Malhotra’s death, who produced films like Dulhe Raja, Mangal Pandey, and others. He also mentioned the producer’s wife’s shocking curse for actor Govinda.

Discussing what ‘Baddua’ (curse) can do, Mehmood shared an incident, asking Ajaz if he had worked with a production and the film became a hit, so would you give priority to that production house or not. Ajaz Khan shared his views, nodding that he would definitely give priority.

Explaining the matter, Mehmood revealed that after Dulhe Raja became a massive box-office success, Govinda signed another film with producer Harmesh Malhotra. For the new film, the producer arranged a big set in Shimla to shoot on a big scale, since the earlier film was a blockbuster. He emphasized that the whole unit went to Shimla for the film, as earlier it wasn’t like that; they could take people from Delhi or other places.

Mehmood shared that the setup was in Shimla, and they waited 15 to 18 days, but Govinda didn’t come for the shoot even after saying he would come that day or the next day. So the makers decided to shoot in Mumbai itself, and the set was wrapped. While returning, a flood happened, and everything was destroyed.

However, Harmesh still arranged another set in Mumbai, but Govinda still didn’t come to shoot. Mahmood then revealed that when Harmesh died, his wife used to walk to the Siddhivinayak temple every day, and from there she used to go to the Dargah and even the church just to ask one wish: that Govinda should be destroyed.

Mehmood emphasized that all those things may have affected Govinda, as no better actor was there than him at the time. He also claimed that somewhere Govinda believes the same.

The producer Mehmood still wished for Govinda’s big comeback and that everything in his life, even his personal life, would go well.
