The performing artiste became the first transgender person to be nominated in a lead Emmy acting nomination for her brilliant performance as nurse Blanca Rodriguez in FX’s ballroom culture period drama ‘Pose’. This is a record in itself as this is the first time a trans artiste has found recognition in the coveted lead actor category.
