After it became a pan-India blockbuster Allu Arjun wanted to make Pushpa: The Rise a global hit , especially after he saw the way Rajamouli’s RRR turned into an international success.

However Pushpa seems to have not found the same level of success as RRR in the global market. The film’s international journey started in Russia, and ended there.

Sources in the know say the producers of Pushpa shelled out as much as Rs 5 crores to promote the film in Russia. Allu Arjun flew to Russia with his family to personally promote Pushpa to the Russians, hoping that the film will travel worldwide from there.

Regrettably, Pushpa underperformed in Russia and all global plans were dropped, thereby dashing Allu Arjun’s hopes of doing with Pushpa what RRR did for Rajamouli.
