Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 8: The historic drama narrating the story of the legendary Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, continues to roar at the box office. Starring Riteish Deshmukh in the central role, the film, on its second Friday, performed well, collecting an impressive 3.20 crore, which is the lowest single-day collection yet, but good.
Despite the tough competition with Bhooth Bangla, Ek Din, and The Devil Wears Prada 2, the Maratha valor film sustained well, surpassing 52 crore in its first week. The film has become a hit and one of the biggest hits in the Marathi film industry. Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, who is also playing the central role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the film beautifully portrays the Maratha legacy, its grand history, and rich culture.
On its 8th day (Second Friday), the film collected 3.20 crore, pushing the net India collection to 55.85 crore. In contact, the gross collection has crossed 60 crore, standing at 66.23 crore, and is holding steady. With the second weekend ahead, the film might see another big hike, which will further help it cross the 100 crore mark.

The historical drama also casts Genelia D’Souza, Vidya Balan, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Salman Khan in key roles. Interestingly, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Salman Khan, who added to the film’s drama, didn’t charge for their roles and worked for free for Riteish Deshmukh, reportedly produced by Genelia Deshmukh and Jyoti Deshpande under Mumbai Film Company and Jio Studios.
