In her lengthy statement, Rani questioned why certain celebrities had been publicly commenting on her personal life when, according to her, they had not shown the same level of concern while discussing other serious issues. She also questioned why her appearance with Govinda while seeking blessings from Ganpati Bappa had become a subject of public discussion.

Rani explained that she had accompanied Govinda as they prayed for the success of their upcoming film Roopa. Addressing those questioning their appearance together, she wrote that they had announced a film and “not a romantic affair.” She further stated that they are working together and will continue to be seen together, adding that people who are uncomfortable with it can choose to ignore it.
The actress also took aim at unnamed female celebrities, alleging that some were attempting to remain relevant by commenting on controversies involving others. Rani questioned their credibility to comment on matters such as sindoor, marriage and Indian traditions, while making several pointed references to their personal relationships.
In her post, Rani also accused her critics of projecting their own frustrations onto others and suggested that some were attempting to associate themselves with her name to stay in the limelight.

Rani concluded her statement by warning those provoking her that their own past could potentially come under scrutiny, while stressing that she does not care whether people consider her a good or bad person.
Her strongly worded Instagram Story comes amid growing public attention around her appearances with Govinda, particularly following the announcement and promotion of Roopa. While social media discussions have fuelled speculation about their equation, Rani’s statement makes it clear that she views their public appearances primarily in the context of their professional collaboration and the upcoming film.
