Ranveer Singh’s Film In Legal Trouble

Know the latest about Jayeshbhai Jordaar

With their new rustic comedy Jayeshbhai Jordaar Yash Raj Films hopes to wipe out the dismal boxoffice performance of their last two releases Pinky Aur Sandeep Faraar and Bunty Aur Babli 2. The leading man Ranveer Singh himself has not had much luck with the much-vaunted Kapil Dev-World Cup bio-pic ’83.

Ranveer and Yash Raj are counting on Jayeshbhai Jordaar to dispel the clouds.

But now, as reported by the legal website Live Law, “An NGO namely Youth Against Crime has moved the Delhi High Court challenging Ranveer Singh starrer Yashraj film “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” over depiction of a prenatal sex-determination scene in the trailer.”

They have asked for the sex-determination sequence to be removed before the film is released.

Now here is the thing: the entire drama in Jayeshbhai Jordaar hinges on the sex-determination test. Without it, the story of how Ranveer’s character fights for the right of the unborn girl-child to be born, goes nowhere.

It remains to be seen how Yash Raj handles this unforeseen legal hurdle and whether the film will release on May 13 as per schedule.
