Actor and activist Renu Desai has strongly reacted to online abuse directed at her and warned that she will not tolerate it anymore. In a recent Instagram video, she said she is ready to take legal action against those who use offensive language and drag her personal life into public discussion.

Desai said she has been facing trolling for many years, especially since her divorce from actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in 2012. According to her, the criticism has not stopped even after more than a decade. She said people continue to comment on her personal matters, including her divorce, alimony rumours, and political views.

In her Instagram caption, Desai made her stand clear. She wrote that if she comes across abusive messages again, she will make sure the cyber police track down those responsible. She added that she has stayed silent for a long time, but now “enough is enough.”

The latest wave of trolling began after Desai spoke at a press conference in January about street dog attacks. She said she was initially hesitant to attend the press meet because she knew she would be criticised again. However, she decided to speak up on the issue. After the press conference, she claims that social media users once again started targeting her.

In the video, Desai said that criticism about her acting or work is acceptable as part of freedom of speech. But repeatedly bringing up her personal life and using abusive language crosses the line. She questioned why people continue to attack her over matters that are private and long settled.

Desai also revealed the disturbing nature of some of the comments directed at her. She said people used extremely offensive words and even made shocking statements wishing harm upon her. She called such language unacceptable and said she will no longer remain calm about it. She warned that she would use legal channels to identify and act against those spreading hate.

Renu Desai and Pawan Kalyan married in 2009 after dating for several years. They have two children together, Akira Nandan and Aadhya. The couple divorced in 2012. Since then, both have moved on in their personal lives.

Pawan Kalyan was earlier married to Nandini before marrying Desai. He is currently married to Russian actor Anna Lezhneva, and they have two children together.

Desai’s latest statement highlights the growing concern around online abuse and cyberbullying. Many public figures have spoken about the emotional impact of trolling, and Desai’s warning shows that celebrities are now ready to take strict measures rather than ignore such behaviour.
