This day turns out to be sad with the passing of veteran actor Ramakant Daayama, who is considered a father figure in the Indian television, Bollywood, and digital space. The actor reportedly passed away at the age of 69 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The cause of Ramakant’s death is unknown; however, the news was confirmed by actress Shubhangi Latkar, who is currently appearing in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, and she penned a heartfelt note on her social media, mourning the actor’s demise.
Shubhangi penned this big note under the video she shared featuring Ramakant, showcasing his fun personality.

The actor was survived by his daughter, Yashaswini Dayama, who is also an actor. For the unversed, Ramakant has been part of several popular films and serials like Chad De India, Brothers Crew, Paa, Mehendi Wala Ghar, and many others.
