A really sad and heartbreaking news is coming in from the Indian entertainment industry ladies and gentlemen.

Acclaimed and famous screenwriter Sanjay Chouhan is unfortunately no more. He passed away on January 12 in Mumbai. He was reportedly 62 when he breathed his last. Sanjay is known for writing films such as Paan Singh Tomar and I Am Kalam. He had also co-written the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster films with filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia. Sanjay was unfortunately suffering from liver cirrhosis. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai about 10 days ago due to internal bleeding and loss of consciousness. He is survived by his wife Sarita and daughter Sara. His funeral was held on January 13, 2023 at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.

For the unversed, Sanjay Chouhan was born and brought up in Bhopal. He has started his career many years back as a journalist in Delhi. Later on, he moved to Mumbai and wrote the crime TV series Bhanwar in late 1990s. Later in his career, Sanjay won an award for Best Story for his film I Am Kalam (2011).
