Veteran actor Arun Bali who has been entertaining his large fan base for decades as a prolific performer passed away this morning (7 October) at 4.30 am. His son Ankkush Bali confirmed the news as he put up an emotional post about his father’s passing away.

The veteran actor was diagnosed with a rare long-term neuromuscular disease Myasthenia Gravis. He was facing on-and-off hospitalizations and was getting treated for the same. It is a rare autoimmune disease caused by a communication failure between nerves and muscles.

Ankkush wrote on Facebook,

SAD DEMISE

With deep grief, we inform the sad demise of my father Mr Arun Bali.

He left for his heavenly abode, Today morning at 4.30 Am, friday 7th October

Arun Bali was 79 years old. He is known for his roles in TV shows Swabhimaan, Kumkum, Chanakya and many more. His notable film projects include Hey Ram, Khalnayak, Satya, Aankhen, Barfi etc. He was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. Coincidentally, his last film GoodBye with Amitabh Bachchan releases today.
