The renowned veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The Bollywood star known for his unique personality reportedly suffered a severe cardiac arrest at his private residence in Dona Paula, Goa. He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital after he was found unconscious at his home.
Doctors at the hospital spent nearly 45 minutes attempting emergency resuscitation procedures to revive the actor. Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Chief of Oncology Department, Manipal Hospital, confirmed the details to news agency ANI, “Despite 45 minutes of continuous CPR, he could not be revived. A medico-legal case (MLC) has been registered, and a post-mortem will be conducted.”
Nana Patekar’s demise has come as a big shock to Bollywood, while family members and authorities are yet to issue a detailed statement on the circumstances surrounding the actor’s demise.
The actor’s son, Malhar Patekar, is currently traveling to Goa as the family reportedly prepares to issue a formal statement on the final rites and funeral arrangements.
