Ramesh Deo, the veteran Marathi actor known for his work in Aarti, 1962, as the antagonist, dies at 93, on Wednesday evening, February 2, in Mumbai. The actor passed away due to a heart attack. 

Abhinay Deo, Ramesh Deo’s son, told the Indian Express, “He passed away due to a heart attack around 8.30 pm tonight at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was 93.”

The actor began his career as a villain featuring in the film Aarti and later went on appearing in films like Anand, Aap Ki Kasam, Mere Apne and many more. He further got acclaimed portraying supporting roles in big-budget Hindi films like Khilona, Rampur Ka Lakshman, Kora Kagaz and many more. In recent years, the actor also appeared in films like Jolly LLB, Ghayal Once Again. 

The actor earned his foothold after his wide versatile artistry in Marathi cinema, the actor’s first breakthrough in Marathi cine was with 1956’s Andhala Magto Ek Dola.
