Spiritual leader Sadhguru has spoken out in defense of actor Ranbir Kapoor, who will portray Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated film Ramayana. Addressing the ongoing debate and criticism surrounding the casting choice, Sadhguru called the backlash “unfair,” emphasizing that an actor’s past film roles should not determine their ability to embody a divine character on screen.

“An actor’s profession is to transform and tell stories — their past performances shouldn’t be held against them,” Sadhguru remarked.

He also weighed in on Yash’s portrayal of Ravana, commenting that the KGF star’s “handsome and powerful persona” would bring a unique dimension to the epic’s antagonist.

Sadhguru’s remarks have sparked fresh discussion online, with many appreciating his balanced perspective on creative freedom and representation in mythological cinema.
