It’s the battle of the brawn at the boxoffice this week with the two shirtless superstars Salman Khan and John Abraham battling it out with Antim:The Final Justice and Satyamev Jayate 2.

Trade analysts Atul Mohan calls it the first big clash after the pandemic. “Yes.it is the first big clash after the pandemic… The excitement or what we call ‘garmi’ in the trade is back, thanks to Sooryavanshi, the fight for screens and shows is back, all that was happening pre-pandemic is happening now.”

Atul feels both films stand a good chance. “Both Antim and Satyameva Jayate 2 are massy films and the lead actors enjoy tremendous mass following. Both the actors tweeted each other’s trailers which is a sign of healthy competition. And we all know at the end of the day the better film will work at the boxoffice and at the same time if both films are good then the BO is generous enough to accommodate both and we have seen many films in past which have clashed and been blockbusters also.”

Producer and trade analyst Girish Johar foresees a tremendous opening for both films. “This coming week BO will witness mass hysteria with sheer raw action. Satyameva Jayate 2 with John Abraham in multiple roles, after the mega success of the earlier part, is very keenly awaited at the BO. John has been very conscious of the film he chooses and his selections make him stand out with his audiences and fans. He has consolidated his position at the BO with a fine blend of smart contemporary content and mass action ones. In both his avatars John has been accepted by the audiences. And this film will further solidly consolidate his position. Directed by Milap Zaveri, this one looks like another winner from the John-Milap combo.”

Johar feels Antim will benefit from superstar-power. “It is an action film which has got a lot of traction because of the transition of Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Ayush Sharma from a chocolate loverboy to an action hero. Backed by Salman Khan who is also in a pivotal role, this outing is making the right noises. Salman has a humongous fan following all across and will surely be lapped up by his fans. Overall this is going to be a dhamekedar raw action week at the box office.”

Film exhibitor Roshan Singh from Bihar isn’t sure of what to expect at the boxoffice. “Sooryavanshi did very well. But Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a disaster.I am not sure Salman Khan or John Abraham can attract audiences into theatres. But if they can’t, who can?”

Satyameva Jayate director Milap Zaveri has the last word. “I would want audiences to see both films. We are releasing a day before. Salman sir was wonderful and tweeted our trailer. John tweeted theirs. This is the unity and brotherhood that is great to see and wonderful for our industry. I wouldn’t call it a clash. It’s an opportunity for audiences to enjoy two films
