The way to beat the current crises of footfalls in the movie theatres is to provide the technology that the audiences cannot get in their home-viewing experience. This is the conclusion reached by the makers of the long-delayed Akshay Kumar espionage thriller Bell Bottom.

The film directed by Ranjit Tiwari is now being converted into a 3D experience for the audience to ensure that the movie-theatre venue remains the only outlet to enjoy the film to its fullest capacity.

Sources say the decision was taken by the producers of the film to maximize boxoffice potential at a time when the very existence of movie theatres is threatened.

Bell Bottom would be Akshay Kumar’s first 3D film besides 2: 0 , the sequel to Robot which was a Tamil film dubbed into Hindi.

I tried reaching out to the film’s director Ranjit Tiwari and producer Nikhil Advani for a confirmation . But they chose not to reply.Probably suspended in the third dimension.
