Shah Rukh Khan’s fans can stop worrying about what he will do next. The past six months have gone by in listening to script narrations, meeting new directors (that is, new to Shah Rukh who is looking into breaking out of his comfort zone without disappointing his fans) and zeroing in on his first post-Zero project.

One now hears from a source that Shah Rukh has agreed to reunite with his favourite director Aditya Chopra.

According to the source the two have constantly been trying to find a project that would justify their collaboration once again after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein and Rab Ne Banadi Jodi.

Says the informed source, “Shah Rukh and Adi have definitely zeroed in on an idea they like. There will be an announcement soon.”

Shah Rukh and Aditya Chopra first came together in the historic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Hindi cinema’s most successful film to date. Their next collaborative effort Mohabbatein though a big hit, was a long lumbering bore remarkable only for starting Amitabh Bachchan’s second innings as a superstar.

SRK and Adi Chopra then collaborated on Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi which many, including yours truly, consider afar superior work to both their earlier films together. Shah Rukh gave one of his better performances as a boring husband assuming a dashing doppelganger to entertain his wife.

It would be interesting to see what this superstar-super director duo come up with this time.
