Shahid Kapoor is currently enjoying an all-time high in the box office. His last film, ‘Kabir Singh’ has broken all records and has collected more than 255.89 crores already. The movie is unstoppable even on its 4th weekend and is looking all set to collect a lot more.

‘Kabir Singh’ is Shahid and Kiara Advani’s biggest hit till date. It is actually surprising when one hears the fact that it took Shahid so many years to actually register his first ‘blockbuster’ in the true sense of the term. Now you might think that Shahid is just busy checking his movie collections? NO. The actor has been avidly following the ICC World Cup 2019 and has been a true supporter of Indian Cricket. Shahid had even mentioned during his promotions for ‘Kabir Singh’ that he actually got stranded at a stranger’s house when India won the World Cup in 2011. He revealed that he was looking forward to go back home and was waiting for his car when the entire Wankhede stadium crowd came on the roads and hence he had to request to seek shelter for that night in that house.

However, in the 2019 ICC World Cup, India got eliminated in the semi finals against New Zealand. But that didn’t stop Shahid from witnessing the epic World Cup Final clash between England and New Zealand. What’s ‘epic’ about this World Cup Final is that both the nations had never won a World Cup before this. However it was England who had the last laugh ahead of New Zealand and went on to win the ICC World Cup 2019. Regarding the match, Shahid wrote –

Well, it looks like majority of the people are upset for New Zealand’s loss as they truly deserved to lift the trophy this time. After all, two World Cup final losses in a row isn’t the most pleasing thing ever.
