A really shocking update is coming in for all fans and admirers of Hollywood actress Emilia Clarke.
HBO’s “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” recently touched down in Sydney this week for its official Australian premiere. However, the event turned out to be extremely controversial after Patrick Delany, the CEO of Australian television company Foxtel, referred to Emilia Clarke as a “short, dumpy girl.” For the unversed, Foxtel is an Australian pay TV company and is the country’s home for Game Of Thrones.
As per reports in Variety, the CEO was quoted as saying,
“I was like, ‘What’s this show with the short, dumpy girl walking into the fire?” This statement certainly didn’t make her fans all over the globe happy and they quickly called it out on social media and other platforms. Soon, they were prompted to issue an official apology which reportedly read,
“On behalf of Mr. Delany, the Foxtel Group apologies if his remarks were misunderstood and caused any offense.”
