According to the certificate issued by the CBFC’s Mumbai office on September 22, 2026, the 2-D colour feature film, which comes with English subtitles, has a certified runtime of 136 minutes and 25 seconds — approximately 2 hours and 16 minutes.
The film was examined by a CBFC committee. With a ‘UA 16+’ certification, parents or guardians are advised to consider whether the film is suitable for viewers below the age of 16. As per the certification details, the film was cleared without any listed excisions or modifications.
Billed as a folk and mythological thriller, The Vvaan is headlined by Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia with Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari, and Anup Soni also featuring in an ensemble cast.
The film explores a world of forests, ancient beliefs and supernatural forces, with its story rooted in Indian folklore. Balaji Telefilms had earlier described the project as being set amid mystical heartlands, with forests, ancient legends and hidden temples forming the backdrop of the story.
Written by Arunabh Kumar, The Vvaan is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, best known for his work on Panchayat. The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari under their banners Balaji Telefilms, TVF Motion Pictures and 11:11 Productions, respectively
The film is set to release in theatres on September 25, 2026.
