Veteran actress and spiritual healer Smita Jayakar recently joined podcast host Siddharth Kannan for an honest conversation. She opened up about her private meeting with the late Sushant Singh Rajput during his battle with depression.
Revealing the actor she healed who was dealing with depression, Smita took Sushant Singh Rajput’s name. She shared that she met him when he was admitted to Hinduja Hospital and gave him healing.
Explaining how the meeting happened, Smita said actress Rhea Chakraborty contacted her directly while Sushant was admitted to Hinduja Hospital. Rhea and Smita had previously shared screen space in the 2014 film Sonali Cable. During their time on set, the two had had deep discussions about emotional and spiritual energy healing. Years later, remembering those conversations, Rhea reached out to Smita for help.
Reflecting on Sushant’s state at that time, Smita recalled, “At that point, he was probably under medical supervision. He spoke to me very nicely and seemed genuinely happy.” She also noted that she even shared a warm embrace with him.
Smita revealed that discussions were even held about bringing him to her spiritual ashram to participate in deep emotional recovery processes. Sushant enthusiastically agreed to the plan.
Smita further added, ‘That very night, Rhea sent me a text message saying, ‘Smita, he is dwindling again.’
When asked whether Rhea wanted to help Sushant wholeheartedly, Smita said yes, adding that the two were dating at the time.
Rhea has been declared innocent in the claims of her involvement in Sushant’s passing. When asked whether Smita thinks Rhea is innocent, Smita said she doesn’t know the facts, but because she has worked with Rhea, she found her nice and genuine.
