South actress Shakeela, who is renowned for her softcore and B-grade films, recently underwent surgery. As per the video on her YouTube vlog, the actress was seen in the hospital wearing a neck brace after the surgery. In the vlog, one can also see the actress getting discharged and returning home.
In her video, Shakeela revealed that her screen time habits directly led to the operation. She explained that she frequently played games and watched videos while lying down in an improper posture. She also highlighted that though a phone is useful, one should not use it more than required: “I recently underwent surgery; it was a major one. Let me tell you something very serious: a phone is a very useful object, but do not use it more than necessary.”
Revealing what exactly happened, Shakeela shared that she used to sleep sideways in her bed, used to play games for long hours, and used to get up only to have tea or coffee, and long hours of using her phone affected her cervical spine and caused nerve damage in her neck, so she had to undergo surgery. She said, “I used to lie sideways in my bed and play games on my phone for up to four hours straight. I would only get up to have some tea or coffee. After drinking my tea, I’d come back and resume the same game. Following that, I would spend hours watching reels on YouTube and Instagram. Improper posture and excessive use of my phone affected the main veins in my neck, eventually leading me to the operating table.”
Urging the people and her audience, Shakeela asked them not to use phones for long hours, even if they are watching her videos, and also not to give phones to children.
