With a steady performance at the box office, the superhero film Spider-Man: Brand New Day starring Tom Holland witnessed a surge in collections ahead of wrapping week 2, helping the net India total collection surpass the 430 crore milestone.
According to the Sacnilk data, on day 13 (Second Tuesday), the film witnessed a 11.8 percent growth from the previous day and earned 8.50 crore net across 12851 shows with 58.8 percent occupancy in theatres.
Amid the competition from Ohh My Dog and Jana Nayagan, the Hollywood film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, also starring Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, and others, is leading the league. The film now ranks as the second-highest-earning Hollywood film in India ever, inching closer to beating Avengers: Endgame’s record in both net and gross (net collection—438.70 crore and gross collection—536 crore).
