Tamil actress Varalaxmi has caught the attention in the headlines with the fresh legal troubles. Reportedly, director Sanjeev Megoti has filed a police complaint against the actress, accusing her of not fulfilling her commitments to promotions and dubbing for the upcoming film.

The controversy emerged when the director Sanjeev made these allegations against Varalaxmi during the film’s promotional event in Hyderabad on Wednesday, June 10. The director raised his voice following Varalaxmi’s absence becoming the talk of the town, and the director revealed the matter.

As per the complaint by Sanjeev, the actress has only dubbed the first half of the movie and did not return to finish the remaining portions. The director quoted, “After dubbing for the first half, she didn’t come back for the second half. She made us suffer a lot and asked us to get the rest done by someone else.”

The director also revealed that Varalaxmi refused to be part of the promotional events despite multiple requests. He shared that the actress was paid 75 lakhs for her contribution, and with 50000 added for her staff every day, the expenses took the total to 1 crore.

Sanjeev also confessed he personally appealed to her several times, but she declined him, stating she is busy despite her having signed the agreement to attend five press meets, “Managers never miss collecting payments from producers, but when it comes to promotions, they don’t respond. Actors take lakhs as remuneration but won’t come even for a press meet.”

Sanjeev concluded, highlighting that managers take payments on time, but at the time of promotions they don’t reply and actors don’t come even after taking hum remuneration. He further revealed that promotion is a key factor for small films and also made a big revelation that Varalaxmi was removed from a Prabhas starrer project due to her unprofessionalism.
