Fans are disheartened by the shocking passing of the Hollywood artist Daveigh Chase. The actress was just 35 years old at the time of her demise. She is known for her iconic roles—one for voicing the title character of Lilo in Disney’s Lilo & Stitch and the other for her presence as Samara Morgan in The Ring.

Reportedly, Daveigh’s boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, unveiled the news of the actress’s passing with TMZ, sharing that the actress died due to complications from meningitis on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Hernandez set up a GoFundMe page for the actress just days before her demise, and at that time he said, “Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections. Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left.”

As per the reports, Daveigh was admitted to the hospital earlier this month due to malnutrition; however, she succumbed to the infections that happened after hospitalization.

Daveigh Chase was born on July 24, 1990, as Daveigh Elizabeth in Las Vegas, while she grew up in Albany, Oregon. Her career in the entertainment world began at the age of seven, and she has been part of TV shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Charmed, Donnie Darko, and others. Besides that, Chase has lent her voice to Chihiro Ogino for the English-language version of Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away; she also voiced the title character of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch.
